Le Wipptal est le nom donné aux deux vallées qui se rencontrent au Col du Brenner dans le Tyrol.
Wipptal du Nord du Brenner (Tyrol)
Le Wipptal est le nom de la vallée tyrolienne formée par la Sill entre le col du Brenner et Innsbruck où elle s'unit à l'Inn.
Wipptal du Sud du Brenner (Tyrol du Sud)
Le Wipptal - est la vallée de la province autonome de Bolzano qui est formée par l'Isarco (ou Eisack en allemand) entre le Brenner, Sterzing et Franzensfeste-Fortezza.
Communauté de communes du Wipptal
Cette vallée donne aussi le nom à une communauté de communes (Comunità comprensoriale Wipptal) dont le chef-lieu est Sterzing-Vipiteno.

L'autoroute du Brenner (A13) traverse la vallée, puisqu'elle permet la communication entre le Nord et le Sud des Alpes. L'importance du trafic génère des nuisances dont se plaint la population riveraine.
