L'Université de Birmingham est la plus ancienne des trois universités dans la ville anglaise de Birmingham. Elle a été fondée en 1900 pour succéder au Mason Science College et est donc la première des universités « Redbrick ». C'est une institution de recherche importante avec 17 000 étudiants de premier cycle et 7 000 étudiants aux cycles supérieurs. Elle fait aussi partie de Universitas 21.
