Trans.cité

Association fondée en 1986, Trans.cité est un "club de réflexion" international qui rassemble des élus locaux ou intercommunaux, maires, présidents ou représentants des autorités organisatrices de transports, présidents de sociétés d’économie mixte, et les professionnels, spécialistes des métiers du transport public ou directeurs de sociétés.

Trans.cité est associée au réseau TRANSDEV, filiale de la Caisse des dépôts et opérateur de transports collectifs.

Le Congrès annuel de l’association dure trois jours et choisit chaque année une capitale ou une grande ville européenne signalée pour ses efforts en matière de transports publics.

Missions

  • Promotion et mise en œuvre du concept de « nouvelle mobilité » en proposant une expertise en matière de sécurité, d'adéquation de l'offre, de qualité du service, de lutte contre la pollution et d'emploi.
  • Participer activement au débat sur les déplacements en proposant des solutions et par le biais de prises de positions sur l'action de l'État dans ce domaine.
  • Fédérer les acteurs publics et privés de la filière transport.

Dirigeants

Le président est élu pour un mandat de deux ans.

L'association est présidée depuis 2005 par Charles-Éric Lemaignen, Président de l’Agglomération Orléans-Val de Loire (AgglO}.

Il a pris la succession, de Henri Bertholet, maire de Romans-sur-Isère.
