Thomas J. "Tom" Bradley (29 décembre 1917 – 29 septembre 1998) était un homme politique américain, maire de Los Angeles (Californie) de 1973 à 1993. Il se présenta sans succès aux élections pour le poste de gouverneur de Californie en 1982 et en 1986, échouant à ces deux reprises contre George Deukmejian.
Il a laissé son nom à un néologisme politique, l'effet Bradley pour se référer aux États-Unis au décalage entre les sondages électoraux et les résultats des élections américaines quand un candidat blanc est opposé à un candidat non blanc. Il était en effet donné gagnant par les sondages à l'élection au poste de gouverneur en 1982.
En 2008, on reparle de lui sur l'impact des élections américaines de 2008 , et du contexte de la personnalité de Barack Obama, annoncé vainqueur dans les sondages , on dénonce un possible "effet Bradley" selon BFM TV.
