Thomas Campian
Thomas Campian (ou Campion) naît à Londres le 12 février 1567 et meurt dans cette même ville le 1er mars 1620.
Médecin et poète de haute réputation. L'un des meilleurs compositeurs d'ayres anglais. Il est possible qu'il ait pris part à l'expédition de Lord Essex qui, en 1591, débarqua à Dieppe et assiégea Rouen.

5 livres d'ayres (1601-1617) (plus de 100 airs avec accompagnement de luth) et plusieurs masques (tous les poèmes sont de lui).
