The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog (en français : « Le vif renard brun saute pardessus le chien paresseux ») est un pangramme en langue anglaise. Composé de 35 lettres, il est surtout utilisé pour tester les dactylos et les claviers d'ordinateur, car il est court et facile à mémoriser.
Il était connu à la fin du XIXe siècle et apparaît dans le livre (en) Scouting for Boys (1908) de Baden-Powell comme une phrase de pratique pour la signalisation[1]. Par après, Western Union et la Telephone Company y ont recours pour tester les équipements Télex.
