The Pop Rivets est un groupe punk britannique fondé en 1977 par le futur bassiste de Thee Milkshakes, Russ Wilkins.
Le célèbre peintre, poète et musicien, Billy Childish, y fit également ses premiers essais avant d'aller créer avec Russ le combo de garage rock, thee Milkshakes, en 1984, après la séparation des Pop Rivets. Ce groupe a enregistré un EP et deux albums entre 1977 et 1980. Les morceaux ont la rapidité et la hargne du punk de la fin des années soixante-dix. Le minimalisme des guitares laisse deviner l'orientation plus garage des futurs autres groupes de Childish'. La plupart des compositions des Pop Rivets peuvent ressembler au punk rock nerveux du Judy says de The Vibrators ou aux premiers enregistrements de UK Subs à l'époque de Tomorrow's girls.
