Les Trois Lanciers du Bengale (The Lives of a Bengal Lancer) est un film américain réalisé par Henry Hathaway, sorti en 1935.

Synopsis

Deux vétérans des lanciers du Bengale prennent sous leur aile une nouvelle recrue. Mais les trois recrues tombent dans une embuscade tendue par Mohammed Khan et des rebelles.

  • Le film fut nommé 6 fois aux Oscars.
  • Cecil B. DeMille réutilisa les décors pour son film Les Croisades.
  • Une grande partie du film fut tournée en Sierra Nevada.
  • Le film est à l'origine de la célèbre réplique « Nous avons les moyens de vous faire parler », qui est cependant énoncée dans le film « J'ai le moyen de vous faire parler » par le personnage de Mohammed Khan. Elle sera réutilisée dans le film Babette s'en va-t-en guerre, sur un mode plus humoristique qui donnera définitivement ce ton à cette phrase.
