The Bruisers est un groupe de Street punk / oi! formé à Portsmouth dans le New Hampshire en 1988. The Bruisers fut le premier groupe du chanteur des Dropkick Murphys Al Barr.
Les premiers membres du groupe étaient des skinheads, (bien que n'étant pas des Skinhead White Power). Après quelque changement de membres, Al Barr fut le seul membre original du groupe. Ce dernier quitta le groupe fin 1998. Le groupe se sépara à cette époque. Malgré tout en 2005 le groupe se reforma pour un concert spécial au Roxy de Boston.
