The Au Pairs était un groupe de post-punk formé à Birmingham en 1979. Le groupe a souvent été comparé à Gang of Four[1] pour sa musique qui alliait rythmique funky et guitares grésillantes rappelant celles de Subway Sect.
Le groupe était également connu pour la forte personnalité de sa meneuse Lesley Woods, fémininiste et lesbienne engagée.
