Subway Sect était un groupe de punk rock anglais fondé en 1976 à Londres en Angleterre (Royaume-Uni). Il fait partie des premiers groupes de la vague punk rock qui a déferlé à Londres en 1977.
Histoire du groupe
En 1976, encouragé par Malcolm Mac Laren, Vic Godard fonde Subway Sect qui participent au premier festival punk de Londres au 100 Club à l'automne 1976. Malgré l'aide de Bernie Rhodes (également manager des Clash) Subway Sect semblent rester dans l'ombre de la scène punk rock, et ne sortent que deux 45 tours avant de se séparer en 1981.
