Rosbif
Le rosbif est un morceau de bœuf, rôti ou à rôtir.
Le roast beef (en anglais) est un plat anglais traditionnel à base de bœuf cuit au four[1].
La pièce de bœuf tendre et désossée est ficelée en forme de cylindre. Elle est cuite peu de temps au four très chaud : ce mode de cuisson permet de cuire à point le tour de la viande et de laisser saignante la partie centrale.
Ce plat est un plat principal d'un repas anglais traditionnel, le Sunday lunch, le Sunday dinner ou simplement le roast. Il est accompagné de son jus, de Yorkshire puddings et de légumes.
Rosbif sous l'écriture Rosbeff est aussi employé pour désigner un adolescent Français extrêmement intelligent .
