Prostějov (en allemand Proßnitz) est un chef-lieu de la région d'Olomouc en Tchéquie. C'est un centre industriel textile et de fabrication de machines-outils.

Histoire

La première mention écrite faisant mention de la ville date de 1141.

Parmi les monuments que compte la ville, on mentionnera un hôtel de ville Renaissance qui sert aujourd'hui comme musée municipal. La nouvelle mairie qui domine la ville date de 1914.
