Podospora anserina est un champignon filamenteux ascomycète coprophile vivant sur les excréments d'herbivores. Il est aussi très utilisé en laboratoire en tant que modèle pour des études de génétique, de biologie cellulaire, de biologie moléculaire mais aussi pour des aspects propres à la mycologie.
