Phelsuma ocellata est un gecko diurne de la sous-famille des geckoninés. C'est l'un des rares membres de ce genre qui soit terrestre et non arboricole.

Répartition géographique

On rencontre cette espèce en Afrique du Sud, où il vit dans des zones rocheuses.
