La Nomadic Preservation Society est une association sans but lucratif (ASBL) créée sous la houlette de White Star Memories dans le cadre du projet de sauvetage et de restauration du Nomadic, le dernier navire de la White Star Line et ancien navire transbordeur du Titanic.

L'association

Le Nomadic

La Nomadic Preservation Society a été formée en mars 2006. Elle a pour but de restaurer le Nomadic, transbordeur du Titanic. Ses membres se sont rapidement multipliés[1].

L'association fonctionne en collaboration avec d'autres fondations ayant le même but, et vise à faire mieux connaître le navire[2]. La Nomadic Preservation Society a également acquis divers éléments de décoration originaux retrouvés en France dans le but de faciliter la restauration du navire. Des portes, tables, dormants en bronze, de nombreux panneaux en bois sculptés et un canot de sauvetage ont été préservés de la destruction grâce à l'intervention des membres de la Nomadic Preservation Society.

L'association édite une revue bisannuelle, The Lone Star, à plus de 1 000 exemplaires[3].
