Nicétas de Rémésiana (v. 335 - 414) était un évêque chrétien d'expression latine de la ville de Rémésiana en Dacie, aujourd'hui Bela Palanka, dans l'actuelle Serbie. Originaire de la tribu Illyrienne des Dardani, il vécut dans la seconde moitié du IVe siècle.
On lui attribue l'évangélisation des Bessi du sud de la Thrace. On lui attribue également la paternité de deux homélies consacrées aux Vigiles nocturnes et aux Bienfaits de la psalmodie qui sont les vestiges probables d'une vaste catéchèse populaire. Ces textes ont circulé au Moyen Âge sous forme de préfaces du psautier dans certaines bibles. Le traité des Bienfaits de la psalmodie a aussi été attribué parfois à Jérôme de Stridon et à Augustin d'Hippone. On lui attribue aussi à tort la paternité du Te Deum.
Nicétas fut ami de Paulin de Nole qu'il rencontra en Italie.
Vénération et patronat
Nicétas est vénéré comme saint par l'Église catholique et par l'Église orthodoxe et il est fêté le 22 juin.
