National Instruments Corporation ou NI, est une entreprise américaine cotée au NASDAQ sous le sigle NATI, et qui compte plus de 6000 employés répartis dans 41 pays. Son siège social est basé à Austin (Texas). National Instruments est un fournisseur d’équipements de test automatique et d’instrumentation virtuelle.

Parmi les produits logiciels de l’entreprise, on compte l’environnement de développement graphique LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, qui fournit des outils d’instrumentation virtuelle pour le langage C, TestStand, environnement de séquençage et de gestion des tests, et Multisim (anciennement Electronics Workbench), qui est un outil d’analyse de circuits électriques.

National Instruments fabrique également du matériel : des châssis et modules VXI, VMEbus et PXI, de même que des interfaces pour le GPIB, l’I²C et autres standards d’automatisation industrielle. Leur offre inclut également des contrôleurs embarqués temps réel, comme le matériel Compact FieldPoint et CompactRIO.

Les applications les plus courantes de produits National Instruments sont l’acquisition de données, le contrôle d’instruments et la vision industrielle.

En 2010, National Instruments a vendu des produits à plus de 30 000 entreprises dans 91 pays différents, pour un chiffre d’affaires de 860 millions de dollars. Pour la douzième année consécutive (depuis 2000), le magasine Fortune classe National Instruments parmi les cent meilleures entreprises où travailler en Amérique.
