Naddoddr ou Naddoður (en islandais) ou Naddoddur (en féringien) était un viking norvégien. Il était né à Agder en Norvège, et il fut un des premiers colons des Îles Féroé et également un des premiers à avoir découvert l'Islande.
Selon la légende au milieu du IXe siècle apr. J.-C., lui et ses hommes naviguaient depuis la Norvège jusqu'aux îles Féroés. Mais comme souvent à cette époque, lui et ses hommes se sont perdus. Au lieu d'atteindre les Îles Féroé, ils sont en fait arrivés sur la côte Est de l'Islande, probablement à Reyðarfjörður. Voulant connaître un peu plus ce pays, ils explorèrent les environs. Finalement, ils gravirent une montagne voir si cette île était habitée. En redescendant, il se mit à neiger et Naddoddur donna à ce nouveau pays le nom « Snæland », soit Terre de Neige. L'île fut ensuite appelée Islande.
Naddoddr est probablement le père d'Ann Naddodsdóttir, originaire des Shetland. On pense que Naddoddr a peut-être été le premier européen à avoir découvert l'Amérique du Nord, 150 ans avant son arrière-arrière-petit-neveu Leif Ericson.
