Antonio Gandini a été l'élève du peintre Paolo Veronese.
À Brescia, ses élèves ont été Ottavio Amigoni, Francesco Barbieri (Il Legnano) et Ambrogio Besozzi. Son fils, Bernardino (mort en 1651) a également été un peintre.
