MSSA
MSSA est un producteur français de sodium par électrolyse ignée de sels fondus. Il commercialise également les sous-produits de cette fabrication : chlore et javel, ainsi que des oxydes de sodium et des dérivés de vanadium. Il commercialise ses produits sous sa marque Métaux Spéciaux. La seule usine de production du groupe est située en Tarentaise (Savoie) sur la commune de Saint Marcel au lieu-dit Pomblière.
Il n'a plus de concurrent en Europe et est le premier producteur mondial de sodium (en valeur, en 2006).
À peu près 240 personnes sont employées par l'entreprise, auxquelles s'ajoutent des intérimaires et sous-traitants. Plus de la moitié du personnel est postée et travaille en 5-8 pour assurer une production continue qui ne supporte qu'exceptionnellement de très brèves interruptions (de 30 minutes maximum).
