Le Nouvelliste est un journal quotidien de langue française publié à Port-au-Prince, Haïti.
Historique
Fondée en 1898 par Guillaume Chéraquit, Le Nouvelliste est le plus ancien quotidien d'Haïti. Chéraquit entreprit pour la troisième fois de lancer un quotidien de renseignements et d'annonces à Port-au-Prince. Il fonda "Le Matin" qui devint quinze mois plus tard "Le Nouvelliste".
Le premier numéro de "Le Matin" parut le 2 mai 1898. Chéraquit confia alors l'impression de "Le Matin" aux presses de son ami Henri Chauvet, député de Port-au-Prince et homme de lettres.
