Un land ou Land[1] est, dans certains pays de langue allemande, une division administrative du territoire.
En langue française, quand on désigne la division administrative, on conserve le mot allemand land avec ou sans majuscule et son pluriel allemand länder ou Länder[2] ou francisé lands[3],[4] ; on peut également employer le terme État ou, pour l'Autriche, également province.
Le mot allemand Land correspond aussi au mot français pays.
