Kiryat Gat (קריית גת) est une ville d'Israël.
Elle a été fondée en 1954 où elle était à l'origine une ma'abara (un camp de réfugiés pour les nouveaux immigrants). Elle doit son nom à sa proximité avec le site voisin de Tel Erani qui avait été identifié de manière erronée avec la ville antique de Gath. Aujourd'hui, la ville philistine de Gath est identifiée au site de Tel Zafit à 10 km au nord de Kiryat Gat.
Elle a d'abord accueilli des immigrants venus du Maroc, puis, dans les années 1990, des immigrants d'Ex-Union soviétique. Elle a obtenu le statut de conseil local en 1958, puis de ville en 1972. Aujourd'hui, c'est une ville moyenne avec une industrie développée.
