Kerry King (né le 3 juin 1964 à Los Angeles) est un des membres fondateur du groupe de thrash metal Slayer avec le second guitariste Jeff Hanneman. Parallèlement, il a joué quelques concerts dans le groupe Megadeth en 1984 avant de se brouiller avec Dave Mustaine. Il rejoindra Megadeth en live en 2010, le temps d'un morceau (Rattlehead) à l'Hollywood Amphitheater.
Matériel
Kerry King utilise des guitares B.C. Rich, dont une est à son nom, et des amplis Marshall, dont un porte également son nom.
Il a développé son propre modèle de guitare, la King V (voir photo infobox). L'instrument, de couleur noire avec une décoration tribale blanche, est à ailes de même longueur et est pourvu de micros EMG, d'un tremolo de marque Kahler et d'une tête beast [1].
À noter
Il fait une apparition dans le clip de What We're All About de Sum 41, où il sort de la foule pour jouer un solo, ainsi que dans un clip des The Beastie Boys : No Sleep Till Brooklyn. Il a notamment joué le solo du titre Witchkrieg du groupe Witchery.
Il fut un "invité surprise" lors d'un live de Marilyn Manson en 2009 sur "Irresponsible Hate Anthem".
