K-1 World Grand Prix Final

Le K-1 World Grand Prix Final est le grand tournoi annuel organisé par le K-1, la plus importante organisation de kick-boxing japonais au monde. Il est réservé aux 16 meilleurs combattants poids lourds de l'année, sélectionnés lors de différents tournois un peu partout dans le monde.

Depuis sa création en 1993 il y a eu 14 finales et seulement 7 vainqueurs différents dont 3 non néerlandais (Branko Cikatić, Andy Hug et Mark Hunt) : deux très gros frappeurs (Cikatić et Hunt) et un grand technicien (Andy Hug).

Records

Ernesto Hoost le remporta 4 fois, ce qui constitue le record actuel alors que Peter Aerts a quant à lui participé à chacune des phases finales du K-1 depuis sa création.
