John Searl

John Roy Robert Searl né le 2 mai 1932 est un inventeur britannique de Wantage (jadis dans le Berkshire, aujourd'hui partie de l'Oxfordshire) en Angleterre.

Biographie

Searl prétend qu'entre 1946 et 1956 il a conçu et construit un objet connu sous le nom de Générateur à effet Searl (Searl Effect Generator-SEG) qui d'après ses dires serait capable d'antigravité et de mouvement perpétuel, mais ne pouvant pas fonctionner suivant les théories physiques établies.

Après un conflit avec le fournisseur d'électricité de son habitation, qui le conduisit à s'attaquer à toutes les installations du fournisseur[1], il a été emprisonné durant plusieurs mois. Ses archives personnelles ont été en partie détruites.

John Searl, alors qu'il est dorénavant très âgé, a lancé une société de développement et de construction de ses machines en Thailande.[réf. nécessaire]

Les investigateurs ayant mené des recherches critiques sur Searl n'ont pas été largement convaincus. L'ingénieur Anders Heerfordt, qui a cherché à obtenir une démonstration de fonctionnement de la machine, a conclu que Searl n'avait en rien prouvé l'existence de l'antigravité[2]. La réponse agressive de Searl a choqué les observateurs. De plus, Searl ne semble pas pouvoir justifier son utilisation du titre de « professeur »[1].

Postérité

Les russes Vladimir Roschin et Sergei Godin de l'Académie des sciences de Moscou travaillent à la vérification de ses travaux[3].
