Tsidi Ibrahim connue sous son nom de scène Jean Grae, née le 27 novembre 1976 au Cap (Afrique du Sud), est une rappeuse et chanteuse domiciliée à New York.
Biographie
Issue d'une famille de musiciens de jazz sud-africains, Tsidi Ibrahim apprend le chant à la Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. Après des débuts confidentiels dans le groupe Natural Resource entre 1996 et 1998 sous le nom de What? What?, elle commence à percer et adopte son pseudonyme actuel, inspiré du personnage des X-Men, Jean Grey. Son premier album date de 2002 et cinq autres albums ont depuis été réalisés.
Elle a également fait des featurings avec le groupe The Herbaliser, tels que The Bend, If You Close Your Eyes, etc. Elle est aussi connue pour son featuring avec Immortal Technique et Pumkinhead sur la chanson The Illest.
