JP-5 (pour « Jet Propellant » n°5), JP5 , F-44[1], avcat est un carburant pour réacteurs avec un point d'inflammabilité élevé (à partir de 60°C) développé en 1952 pour un usage militaire, plus particulièrement comme carburant pour les avions des porte-avions où le risque d'incendie est important.
C'est un liquide jaune, basé sur le kérosène. Le point de congélation du JP-5 est -46°C.
Le JP-5 reste le carburant principal pour les réacteurs de l'US Navy.
