Illapel est le nom d'une ville chilienne de 29.000 habitants en 2005 dans la province de Choapa, dans la région de Coquimbo, qui se trouve à l'est de Los Vilos. Le maire de cette localité est Luis Lemus. Illapel a été fondée en 1774.
