Honky Château est le cinquième album studio d'Elton John, sorti en 1972.
C'est l'un des albums d'Elton John les plus appréciés par la critique.
C'est aussi le premier sans accompagnement de cordes (excepté Jean-Luc Ponty pour "Mellow" et "Amy"). En ce sens, il fait écho à l'album "Tumbleweed Conection", et annonce dignement son successeur, "Don't Shoot Me I'm Only The Piano Player". Il contient les singles "Rocket Man", l'un des plus célèbres ballades d'Elton John, et "Honky Cat".
