Ixnay on The Hombre est le 4e album de groupe punk rock The Offspring. Cet album est sorti le 4 février 1997 soit 3 ans après l'énorme succès de Smash, le précédent album du groupe.

Commercialement l'album est une déception avec 5 000 000 exemplaire vendus[réf. nécessaire], bien loin des 16 000 000 de Smash[réf. nécessaire]. Ce revers commercial n'empêche pas Ixnay on The Hombre d'être considéré comme l'un des meilleurs albums du groupe[réf. nécessaire], très apprécié par les fans de The Offspring. Cet album est assez varié: il possède des chansons de punk rock, mais aussi des chansons de ska et une chanson fantaisiste, Intermission, qui est en fait une reprise du fameux Tea for two composé en 1925 par Vincent Youmans et Irving Caesar, et joué entre autres par Django Reinhardt.

Cet album fut porté par les singles Gone Away, All I Want, The Meaning Of Life et I Choose. Ces 4 singles furent chacun l'objet d'un clip réalisés par David Yow (pour All I Want et The Meaning Of Life), Nigel Dick (pour Gone Away) et le chanteur de The Offspring Dexter Holland (pour I Choose).

Le titre Cool To Hate, bien qu'il ne soit pas un single, fut lui aussi l'objet d'un clip vidéo. Tournée dans des conditions amateur, cette vidéo est notamment visible sur le DVD Complete music video collection (sorti en 2005) qui regroupe tous les clips du groupe.

L'ex-Dead Kennedys Jello Biafra apparaît sur "Disclaimer".
