Dai Sentai Goggle V (大戦隊ゴーグルファイブ, Dai Sentai Gōguru Faibu?, littéralement Goggle Five, le Grand Escadron) est une série télévisée japonaise du genre sentai en 50 épisodes de 30 minutes produite en 1982. Si la transcription en romanji donne Gōgle V, la transcription officielle du nom de la série est Goggle V[1].

Synopsis

En Allemagne, dans le château de Wolfborg, l'empire de la Science sombre Deathdark établit des plans de domination mondiale. Découvrant cela, le Docteur Hideki Hongō tombe entre leur mains et est sauvé par le spéléologue Kenitchi Akama. De retour au Japon, le Docteur Hideki Hongō décide de former une équipe chargée de lutter contre l'empire de la Science sombre Deathdark. Ce dernier apparait alors au Japon dans le but d'y instaurer sa loi avant de conquérir le reste du monde. Mais l'équipe formée par le Docteur Hideki Hongō se dresse contre eux. Le combat pour la liberté du monde ne fait que commencer...

L'empire de la Science sombre Deathdark est une société secrète existant depuis l'âge du bronze, et qui mêle l'occultisme à la science pour servir ses plans de conquête planétaire. Ils opèrent depuis une forteresse volante appelée Deathtopia en VO.

Commentaires

  • Goggle V fut la première série sentai à avoir un héros dont la couleur est officiellement le noir (Goggle Black). Celà dit, Battle Kenya (de Battle Fever J) avait également un costume majoritairement noir.
  • Ceux qui étudient ou connaissent le japonais auront certainement remarqué que le patronyme de chacun des Goggle V contient respectivement les mots Aka, Kuro, Ao, Kaji, et Momo. Or, en japonais, ces mots signifient respectivement Rouge, Noir, Bleu, Jaune, et Rose.
  • Gōguru est la transcription en phonétique japonaise du mot anglais Goggle.
  • Faibu est la transcription en phonétique japonaise du mot anglais Five.
  • V signifie 5 en chiffres romains.
  • Les pierres précieuses incrustées sur les casques des Goggle V symbolisent respectivement : Atlantis, l'Asie, l'Égypte, Mu, et le pays Maya.
  • Les Computer Boys & Girls représentent respectivement : Goggle Red à l'âge de 9 ans, Goggle Black à l'âge de 10 ans, Goggle Blue à l'âge de 7 ans, Goggle Yellow à l'âge de 11 ans et Goggle Pink à l'âge de 7 ans.
