Akune (阿久根市, Akune-shi?) est une ville du Japon située dans la préfecture de Kagoshima.
En 2010, la ville avait une population de 23 225 habitants, une densité de 173 hab/km² et une superficie de 134,30 km².
La ville a été fondée le 1er avril 1952.
Les productions agricoles de la ville sont : les citrons, les kiwis et les shiitakes.
La ville est desservie par les routes nationales 3, 389 et 499.
Akune est entourée de montagnes culminant à plus de 300 mètres.
