Akeboshi (明星) est un chanteur de J-Pop qui est grandemment connu pour le single Wind notamment et qui servit de thème de cloture aux 25 premiers épisodes de l'animé Naruto.

Akeboshi est né en 1978 à Yokohama. Il commence le piano dès l'âge de trois ans, puis plus tard apprend à jouer de la guitare. Il part ensuite étudier la musique à Liverpool. Le temps qu'il passe en angleterre va grandement influencer sa musique.

Les musiques d'Akeboshi sont écrites en japonais, mais certaines sont chantées en anglais, comme Night and day, Money et Wind.

Premier album d'Akeboshi, sorti le 22 juin 2005 chez Sony Music Japan. Le premier titre de cet album (Wind) fut utilisé pour le premier générique de fermeture de l'animé Naruto.
