John Frederick Westcott (26 mars 1866 – 18 septembre 1941), mieux connu sous le nom de scène de Fred Karno, était un imprésario de théâtre du music-hall britannique.

Karno est né à Exeter, en Angleterre. Parmi les jeunes comédiens qui ont travaillé pour lui on peut citer Charlie Chaplin et Stanley Jefferson, qui allait plus tard adopter le nom de Stan Laurel.

Avec l'avènement du cinéma, la popularité du music-hall baisse. En conséquence de quoi Karno fait faillite en 1926.
