- Giovanni De Agostini (1863-1941), est un géographe, un cartographe et un éditeur italien. Il est le fondateur, en 1901, de la société d'édition homonyme Istituto Geografico G.De Agostini (it). Il est aussi le frère aîné d'Alberto Maria.
- Alberto María De Agostini (1893-1960), missionnaire salésien italien de l'ordre de Don Bosco, qui fut tout à la fois un explorateur, un écrivain, un photographe, un géographe et un ethnologue. Dans la partie australe chilienne de la Terre de Feu, un parc national porte son nom.
