Facelift est le premier album de Alice in Chains, sorti en 1990 chez Columbia. Il contient notamment le single Man in the Box qui révèle le groupe au grand public. Facelift sera certifié disque d'or aux États-Unis avant la fin de l'année 1990 et platine un peu plus tard. Cet album est le premier album grunge d'un groupe de Seattle à trouver une audience nationale, attirant l'attention des médias sur des groupes comme Nirvana, Pearl Jam et Soundgarden
Facelift sera certifié double platine en 1997 ( + de 2 millions d'exemplaires vendus).
