Emery Roth (né en 1871, mort le 20 août 1948) était un architecte américain d'origine hongroise, qui a réalisé de nombreux bâtiments et hôtels de New York. Au début de sa carrière, il est influencé par l'Art nouveau, par exemple pour la construction de Belleclaire Hotel (carrefour Broadway/ 77e Rue) en 1901-1903. Mais il a surtout marqué son temps par des immeubles de style Art Déco des années 1920 et 1930, dont le San Remo (San Remo Apartments) et le Beresford (The Beresford) qui dominent la bordure occidentale de Central Park (1929-1930). On lui doit également les Normandy Apartments (140 Riverside Drive, entre la 86e et la 87e Rues).
