Communauté d'Afrique de l'Est
La Communauté d'Afrique de l'Est (East african community, EAC) est une organisation internationale en vue d’une union économique et douanière entre États de l'Afrique de l'Est.
Créée une première fois en 1967 puis dissoute en 1977, elle est reconstituée en 2001 à Arusha (Tanzanie) entre le Kenya, la Tanzanie et l’Ouganda.
Lors de son 8e sommet le 30 novembre 2006, l’EAC a admis en son sein le Burundi et le Rwanda qui en sont officiellement devenus membres le 18 juin 2007.
Le siège de l'organisation est à Arusha.
