Dan Peek, né le 1er novembre 1950 à Panama City en Floride, et mort le 24 juillet 2011[1], est un chanteur et guitariste de rock and roll américain.
Dan Peek est principalement connu pour sa participation dans le groupe de pop America qu'il fonda à Londres avec deux copains, Gerry Beckley et Dewey Bunnell.
Après plusieurs succès avec America, dont le fameux A Horse With No Name qui lança leur carrière, et à la suite d’une tournée de promotion pour l’album Harbor, Dan décide en 1978 de quitter le groupe et de se lancer dans une carrière solo.
En 1979, Dan abandonne le monde du show-business pour ne pas gâcher sa vie et celle de sa famille et entame une nouvelle carrière d'artiste catholique. La même année sort son premier album solo, All things are possible, qui gagne un Grammy Award.
