La convention d'Alkmaar est signée le 18 octobre 1799, lors de la deuxième coalition par le général Brune.
Au Helder, le 27 août 1799, une flotte britannique procède au débarquement d'une armée composée de Britanniques et de Russes ayant à sa tête Frederick, duc d'York et Albany. Le général Guillaume Marie-Anne Brune leur inflige plusieurs défaites consécutives lors des batailles de Bergen, Alkmaar, Castricum et oblige son chef à signer, le 18 octobre 1799, la convention d'Alkmaar, quasiment une reddition qui précise le réembarquement des troupes vaincues et leur départ de Hollande.
