Buddhapālita

Buddhapālita est un philosophe indien madhyamika du Ve siècle.

Il systématisa la méthode qui consiste à pousser jusqu'à l'absurde les conséquences logiques des systèmes adverses. D'où le nom de prasangika (conséquentialistes) donnés aux partisans de cette méthode : Candrakîrti, Shantideva.
