Bodo (peuple)

Le peuple Bodo forme une ethnie qui vie dans l'état d'Assam en Inde et ce peuple est reconnu comme tribu à par entière dans la sixième annexe de la Constitution indienne. Ils parlent le Bodo. Selon le recensement de 1991, il y avait 1,2 millions de Bodos en Assam, soit 5,3% de la population totale de l'état[1] et représente la principale tribu, devant les Karbis[2].

Udalguri et Kokrajhar sont les centres urbains principaux pour la communauté Bodos.
