La Villa Saïd porte le nom de Saïd Pacha, vice-roi d'Égypte de 1854 à 1863. Ce nom lui fut donné par M. Hardon, le fondateur de la villa qui était aussi un des entrepreneurs du Canal de Suez.[1]
