Ultima Thule

Ultima Thule

Ultima Thule est un groupe suédois de Viking Rock (Vikingarock en suédois), qui intègre des influences folk nordiques à une musique rock et parfois punk ou oi!, et issu d'une culture proche du rockabilly et des Teddy Boys.

Ils ont obtenu un succès considérable au début des années 90 en Suède et ailleurs où certains de leurs albums vendus à plus de 80 000 exemplaires ont été récompensés du disque d'or.

Ils prennent leur nom de l'île septentrionale mythique de Thulé mentionnée par l'explorateur grec Pythéas au IVe siècle av. J.-C..
