The Great American Bash 2005 est la deuxième édition de The Great American Bash, une compétition de catch professionnel, aujourd'hui rebaptisée The Bash, télédiffusée et visible uniquement en paiement à la séance. Produit par la World Wrestling Entertainment, l'événement s'est déroulé le 24 juillet 2005 dans la salle omnisports HSBC Arena de la ville de Buffalo, dans l'État de New York, aux États-Unis.
Le combat le plus important de la rencontre est celui qui a opposé Batista, champion du monde poids-lourds en titre, à John « Bradshaw » Layfield, surnommé JBL. JBL a remporté le match par disqualification, ce qui l'empêcha d'être titré champion du Monde de la WWE, ce titre ne pouvant être obtenu qu'à l'issue victorieuse d'un combat, par tombé ou par soumission. Les autres matchs programmés ont vu s'affronter Rey Mysterio et Eddie Guerrero, que Mysterio a remporté par tombé, et Orlando Jordan contre Chris Benoit dans le cadre du championnat des États-Unis de la WWE, que Jordan a remporté par tombé.
