Strophurus ciliaris est un gecko ; cette espèce a sur la queue des glandes produisant un mucus nocif, utilisé pour se défendre.

Note : cette espèce était auparavant dans le genre Diplodactylus.

Répartition géographique

Ce gecko est endémique de l'Australie.
