Salamis est un genre de papillons de la famille des Nymphalidae de la sous-famille des Nymphalinae qui résident en Afrique.
Dénomination
Le nom de Salamis leur a été donné par Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Dechauffour de Boisduval en 1833.
Synonyme : Protogoniomorpha Wallengren, 1857.
En anglais ils se nomment Mother-of-Pearls.
