Ligustrum lucidum est une espèce d'arbres de la famille des Oleaceae. Elle est parfois appelée « troène à feuilles brillantes ».

Elle est arrivée en 1794 d'Extrême-Orient (Chine et Japon). Elle peut atteindre 10 mètres. Ses feuilles persistantes, vert brillant aux nervures saillantes, mesurent une dizaine de cm en moyenne.
